Black Coffee Projects is a Chicago based art and design team focused on visual communication, specializing in Animation and Video, Graphic Design, and Illustration. We have worked with a wide spectrum of clients from local bands to research scientists to national media personalities on projects such as Logo Design, Music Videos, Album and Book Artwork, Game Design, Promotional Design, and the list goes on.
Eva Bialecki is a fine artist, musician and animator who received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2014). Her oil paintings and mixed media installations, as well as her musical career have taken her on tours all over the country garnering her awards and recognition for her pieces. Currently, Bialecki works for the School of the Art Insitute of Chicago, as well as performing, freelancing, and working on several animation projects, including a collaboration with Peggy Macnamara, resident artist of the Field Museum of Natural History. She resides in Chicago with her pets, plants, and an assortment of other animated creatures. She adores Dostoevsky, 90’s Nickelodean cartoons,cold pizza with coffee, fear and nice eyes.
Kat Schräpler (SAIC, BFA 2013) is an illustrator, designer, and moving image maker hailing from the near suburbs of Chicago. Her work is influenced by vintage typography, human oddities, Mike Kelley, the early work of Harmony Korine, and aggressive music. Kat currently works as a freelance designer, is working on a short film, and plays bass in Chicago based hardcore punk band, The Kreutzer Sonata. She currently resides in the world’s smallest studio apartment and really enjoys dogs, Kurt Vonnegut, and the paranormal.
